Don't Get Lost In The Bustle

"In bustle so little is accomplished. You must learn to take the calm with you in the most hurried days."

Not What You Say But What You Do

"There should be less talk; a preaching point is not a meeting point. What do you do then? Take a broom and clean someone's house. That says enough."

The Allah Issue

Somebody's trying very hard to sow discord among Muslims and Christians in Malaysia. Making a big fuss because Christians too want to address their God as Allah, burning churches (although careful not to burn down the whole church) and when the Christians did not respond with violence, resorting to throwing pig heads into a mosque (wrapped up and tied with a rope, I read?).

Something good has come out of all these incidences, believe it or not. Ordinary, peace-loving Malaysians, both Christians and Muslims alike, have refused to be baited into violence. Ordinary citizens like me and my Muslim colleagues are still working together amicably and reading the news without getting in the least bit agitated. Anybody can see that a rabble rouser is trying so very vainlessly hard to stir up disharmony. This is a perfect example of love and tolerance overcoming evil. If we have stopped tolerating there might have been another May 13 incident.

I do not understand senseless killings. I do not understand wars. When I see humans slaughtering each other I ask myself - why don't you just go till the land or fish if you have so much energy? Please do that, really, be productive, not destructive. If every country spends 90% of all they have on agriculture, everyone will have enough to eat. I hope that the future will not be a hollywood scenario of 2012 or planet of the apes or some other depressing end to the human species. I hope that in the future everyone will treat the earth with great care so that it will give us bountiful returns. I hope that no one will be without familiy and friends but everyone will be without enemies. Let us work towards that vision. There's nothing to lose and the whole world to gain.

At The End Of Our Lives

"At the end of our lives, we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made or how many great things we have done. We will be judged by "I was hungry and you gave me to eat. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in.""

Judging Versus Loving

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

Lovingkindness

"As you, and those who live with and for Me, show loving-kindness to others, because you are actuated by My Spirit, so you draw contacts into the circle of my ever-widening Spirit influence.
This is unfailingly so. It is a spiritual law. Though no word of Me may be spoken, yet in this way souls are attracted until at length they find Me, the center and inspiration of all."

Power Of Praise

"The walls of Jericho fell down. Was it axes or human implements that brought them down? Rather the Songs of Praise of the people and My Thought carried out in action."
